Phlebotomus papatasi (Scopoli, 1786)
Subgenus: Phlebotomus Rondani-Berte, 1840
Females of different species classified in Phlebotomus subgenus are distinguished from each other by different arrangement and shape of the pharyngeal teeth. P. papatasi is distinguished from P. bergeroti by the absence of lateral and anterior teeth, from those of P. duboscqi by the presence of teeth located at the front of the pharyngeal armature, and from those of P. salehi by the absence of coarse and condensed theeth located in one third middle of the pharyngeal armature.
